The Training Begins

The Atlantic Coast Ride begins in 175 days.  My plan is start biking 3 to 4 days/week with 10 - 16 mile rides with one long day, increasing the weekly mileage by 10%.

Rode 16.5 miles - slow and easy ride.  It's a start!

My first maintenance class is November 5 any my first fix-a-fat workshop is November 12, both classes are at ABC Bicycle in St. Petersburg, FL.  I say first because I will need to attend multiple workshops on the subjects.

I'm ready for another adventure.  I signed up a WomanTours Bike Ride -  riding the Atlantic Coast from Florida to Virginia.  A fully supported ride for women.  Check out WomanTours.

I should say that I will be ready for another adventure.  First, I need to complete the Chemin du Puy.   Sue's Le Puy Way - Chemin du Puy  Then I will be ready.

At 31 days and 1,576 miles. this is longer than anything I've ever done.  My longest bike ride ever was the Ganther Race the Lake, around Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin - 90 miles.  And, I did ride 5 out 7 days of the 2013 RAGBRAI.  This is a way longer bike ride.
