In front of the Lodge we ran into Mary and Tia, two gals, that were in our bunk room at Phantom Ranch. They were such wonderful fun people, we laughed and laughed about our trek back to the rim, the goofy people hiking we came across - hikers with insufficient water, with crummy shoes or barefoot, you name it we saw it.
The 250 mile drive. We stopped at the Navajo Bridge, crossing the Colorado River, and ate our sandwich. Hot - near 100 degrees. We saw rafts going down the river and a condor, one huge bird
Once in the National Park, the bison herd out on the range
Our cabin is right on the rim, nice view
Great dinner at the lodge. Arlene treated with a bottle of wine. What could be better?
