Then we drove to the Tablelands area and did the Green Gardens Trail
Then over the hill and down we went, steps down, and then back up with more steps and then way down - not cold outside, rain coats on to keep the mosquitoes at bay.
Marilyn was deciding which bridge to take. She did go with the one on her left. By now the rain jackets were off - too hot with all the up and down hiking.
Two hours into the hike the water was in view
More red chairs
We continued walking, came across sheep, and lots of sheep poop on the trail - it was everywhere.
A couple of local families still graze their sheep up here in the summer.
We continued walking but the trail got too muddy, we went back by the red chairs and down to the beach
The start of the stairs leading down the cliff
Marilyn trying to clean her muddy boots
Two sets of stairs
Back on top
Whew
Finally getting back to the car - way in the distance
Then we drove to Trout River, small fishing town, and walked around a bit
Drying cod display at the interpretation center. I tasted the salted dry cod - not too bad but so salty.
The end.
Tomorrow we leave Rocky Harbour and make our way back to St. John's via an overnight stop in Gander.
