Our wonderful B & B, last night and tonight

After bacon and pancakes we set off to do the Skerwink Trail - starts out in the woods

Shortly, we had two options cliffs or inland

We went for the cliffs

Next was out to Cape Bonavista to see the lighthouse and puffins

Back to Bonavista - lunch at Neil's Yard

Time for more puffins, out to Elliston

We walked out on the peninsula to see the puffins

Elliston is the Root Cellar Capital of the World!

Last walk out to the edge

Called it a day - whew.

Tomorrow we start our drive to Gros Morne National Park, splitting the driving by stopping overnight in Gander, NL.

St. John's, NL to Bonavista, NL

Left St. John's for Bonavista today - stopping at Trinity for lunch at the Trinity Mercantile and a walk around the town

Short walk on the Gun Hill trail

Continued on toward Bonavista, stopping for coffee and tea along the way

Finally arrived in Bonavista, our home for two nights, checked into the Jubilee House B & B

Then we headed out to find Puffins

Interesting trail to the puffin viewing site and the fog was rolling in

Puffins were on the adjacent island

Dinner in Upper Amherst Cove, town near here, restaurant over looked the water

Tomorrow hiking and more puffins!
