We drove out to the Tablelands area of the park - took us an hour to get there. We arrived as the ranger led hike was just starting.
The Tablelands is the earth's mantle exposed, a rare thing.
A few more bug eating plants - the star shaped plant
The red plant
And our favorite the pitcher plant
Plus lots of pretty wild flowers
Then we headed to the interpretive center for this section of the Park - had some snacks and did another hike to the lookout - up and up
No bears or moose for us today
Non stop climbing
At the lookout - the red chairs
Windy at the top
Views of the Tablelands
Looking back at the trail
Drove to Woody Point for lunch - soup, latte/tea, and we shared a scoop of ice cream.
Woody Point
Tomorrow - another hike, not sure which one
