Rocky Harbour - Gros Morne National Park

Another hearty breakfast - poached eggs, bacon, Newfie sausage (Bologna) fruit and yogurt, orange juice, and coffee.

Today's hike - Chutes Bakers Brook or Bakers Brook Falls

Pretty flowers along the trail

A moose exclosure - fencing the moose out, so many moose are eating up all the young trees and they are studying the growth inside the exclosure zone (no moose) to the outside moose zone.

There is a huge difference - small trees are growing on the inside and not much growing on the outside

Except flowers

No moose sightings - moose tracks but no moose

Finally the falls

Next stop was the Lobster Head Cove
Lighthouse

Views from lighthouse grounds

Raining more

Rain drops in the camera lens - on the beach in front of the lighthouse

Tomorrow - back to the Tablelands area of the Park, an hour drive, to hike the Green Gardens or the Trout River Trail.  Our last day in Gros Morne.

Rocky Harbour - Gros Morne National Park

Another nice breakfast at the Hilltop Inn - pancakes, bacon, orange juice, fruit, yogurt, coffee/tea.

We drove out to the Tablelands area of the park - took us an hour to get there. We arrived as the ranger led hike was just starting.

The Tablelands is the earth's mantle exposed, a rare thing.

Some snow still remains

A few more bug eating plants - the star shaped plant

The red plant

And our favorite the pitcher plant

Plus lots of pretty wild flowers

Then we headed to the interpretive center for this section of the Park - had some snacks and did another hike to the lookout - up and up

No bears or moose for us today

Non stop climbing

At the lookout - the red chairs

Windy at the top

Looking back at the trail

Drove to Woody Point for lunch - soup, latte/tea, and we shared a scoop of ice cream.

Woody Point

Tomorrow - another hike, not sure which one
